Following a Select Vestry initiative to encourage local traders and to give local farmers a platform in this part of County Down, a new Farmer's Market will be held on Thursdays, 9am - 3pm from 19th June. Much of the produce will be organic and locally grown. The market will be held in the Church carpark on an experimental basis for six months by the Select Vestry through Phil Buckley, their laison with the market traders and producers.
If you are interested in having a stall please contact Mr. Buckley 078 3560 5216 / 078 3560 5217.
Carpark users are asked to park behind the Youth Hall on Thursdays, and that the Play Group be patient while we see how things unfold.
It is hoped that the market will assist small farmers, and return some of the character which Comber lost during the rise of supermarkets and commercialism in the latter half of the 20th Century, and benefit both the Church and the local Community.
